[net.physics] Up with cosmology

I'm able to follow most of the current discussions, but not able
to contribute anything original and correct (which is why I dropped
out of astrophysics). Please keep up these discussions - they are
enlightening and a refreshing change from the idiocy of 500 speculative
articles on thermostats by a bunch of bozos whose idea of research
is to ask someone else - and then disagree because it doesn't sound
good to them.

This is the best thing seen on this group in a long time.
Thanks to the informed for your clarity and knowledge, thanks to others
for provocative questions, and thanks to the rabble for keeping
quiet this time.

And thanks to those who have said that they are enjoying the
discussion. I am willing to admit that everything I say may
be totally wrong, but if it stirs up a good discussion of
current ideas in cosmology and leads to inspection of how we
indeed know what we claim to know, then it has served a good
purpose.
