I want to express my appreciation to thpeople who have made
this such an interesting and worthwhile discussion. As am MD
whith only a passing familiarity with your field (SA articles,
a couple of summers in college calculating deuteron-nuclei
interactions at Oak Ridge), I have only anough knowledge to
vaguely follow the comments. Most impressive to an outsider is
your willingness to explain things, the interplay between theory
and experiment, and your good manners in dealing with conflicting
interpretations of nature. These are things that educated people
are supposed to do, but it is so pleasant to see them in practice.
Please be advised that you have an enthusiastic and appreciative
audience.
