On the subject of ley lines, on which I have a fairly
open mind, the reason that features from different eras are
sometimes linked together on the same line is usually given
as follows: The ley lines assumed a considerable ammount of
mysticism in the eyes of the hoi polloi, and were assumed to
'radiate' some form of 'magic' which made it very attractive
to build places, especially places of worship, along the lines.
Many early Christian churches were built on the same ley lines
since there was a natural spillover of myths and beliefs into
Christianity (cf the choice of many of the dates for Christian
festivals). Later churches, manor houses etc were then often
built on the same sites, often three or four times over.

As for 20th century office blocks, I'd need to know
the history of the specific sites before I could possibly 'accept'
them.
As I said, I have a pretty open mind on ley lines. I'd
love to believe they were real..........
