In the past few months several people have asked me if I know of any one selling kits to build lasers. I do not. I know where to get OEM parts for my own lasers which I make, but I don't know of any company that sells a whole laser in kit form. Does anyone out there in net land know of a source? If they do, I would like to hear of it. If it turns out that noone knows of a source, but a lot of people express an interest in buying a laser in kit form, then I might see if I could talk some company into packaging such a kit. I should warn everyone, that I don't think you could build a laser any cheaper than you could buy one. In my own case, the laser's I build cost more than commerical lasers. But I use several in a teaching lab, and I have special needs. If anyone is interested, please let me know. Thanks. Rich Piner Purdue Physics Dept.
