In a previous posting I mentioned a Scientific American article about hydrogen stored in metal hydrides for use as an automotive fuel. I have dug up the reference and looked at the article again, it is quite complete and answers most of the questions that people have been asking on the net. This was the February 1980 issue of Scientific American, page 118. The title is "Hydrogen Storage in Metal Hydrides", by J. J. Reilly and Gary D. Sandrock.
