[net.physics] matrix diagonalization

   I am looking for a utility program that diagonalizes an NxN matrix
(compex), (also the eigenvalues and vectors).

  This is further info. on the diagonalization routine I require.

   The matrix elements are all real, and it is a tri-diagonal matrix, it
doesnt appear to be Hermetian but that is my problem, it shouldnt affect
the diagonalization routine.

   I'm trying to simulate atoms in a laser cavity so N will be greater
than 500, hopefully I be able to go larger.

   I hope someone has an efficient routine;
