[net.physics] Magnetism Affects Light

This is in response to Eric Albers' question about the possible effect of
magnetism on light. If there is an interaction it is 4th order (i.e. the
lowest order Feynman diagram has 4 vertices.). A photon from the fixed
magnetic field would interact with one of the particles af the virtual
pair created by the p -> e+ e-, e+ e- -> p virtual photon reaction.  The
cross-section for this reaction is very small. I don't know if it has been
observed.
