[net.physics] Selling plasma physics in this newsgroup

wkp@lanl.ARPA (07/30/85)

I don't want this to sound like a flame, but I'm getting rather disturbed
at the amount of traffic coming from Prometheus II Ltd. It seems to me
that many of the postings are of an advertising nature.

With regards to fusion in this decade, let me state that many intelligent
plasma physicists are working in this field, and that I have not yet seen
any better schemes (including the Prometheus II device) proposed. Of
course, I may change my mind later, but judging from the successes
of all current fusion devices (:-)), I won't hold my breath.
