Take a plumb bob and protractor out on a clear night and see how much
the gravitational field varies with respect to the "fixed stars" over
the platform's surface.  A little Newtonian mechanics and elementary
geometry will tell you whether you found a black hole (and where it is)
or just "snake oil".

I will spare the net my own extremely biased opinion on how the experiment
will turn out.
