[net.games.pbm] AD&D PBM GAME: MORE INFO, PROPAGANDA, AND ADVERTISEMENT.

wade@nmtvax.UUCP (08/07/84)

I am posting this because many people have asked for more info
on the game.

This game will be standard AD&D using the rules as stated
in the books. Each player will start on his own and from there
may meet other players and join any group he likes. There are
four major religious sects, that of Mitra, a good religion which
is currently the major one, that of Set, which opposes Mitra, the
Celtic Druids, who are neutral, but are helping the Mitrites put
down Set, and the Temple of the Frog who no one really knows much
about.
The game is set on the Isle of Winds, a large island which is
reasonably civilized. Most of the game will involve religious/political
intrigue rather than hack-n-slash dungeoneering, but some dungeons might
be plundered for reasons involving the religious/political stuff. No
writeups of the game will be posted to the net, for actions of certain
characters will have to be secret, and everyones knowlege of others actions
is limited.
Players are free to do what they wish, and need not involve themselves
in the religious/political stuff if they don't feel up to it.

Anyone who wishes to play must send me the following information:
Name (just so I know who I'm dealing with)
US Mail Address (for paperwork that can't be sent
                                      electronically like maps and such)
                     Phone Number (for emergencies.)
Character (MUST be complete, with equipment and all
necessary info, just do it by the books,
I trust you to be honest.)

Any replies not including this info will be ignored.
