[net.games.pbm] S-O-M Baseball - Report #1

kaufman@uiucdcs.UUCP (10/08/84)

To the players:
Josh Rosenbluth's net address is once again houem!jhr2. The first set of
games has not been disappointing, with an extra-inning barnburner and a couple
of other entertaining games. There have been exemplary performances both in
hitting and pitching. Box scores and summarys are posted below. The matchups
for your teams' second games are also listed below. Again lefties are capital-
ized, and pitchers' actual 1983 records are given. As a rule, once you have
acknowledgement of completion of the previous game and see the opposing
pitcher for the forthcoming game, send in either your starting lineup, or
confirmation of a standard lineup to me. Wait until the previous game is over,
so that you can be sure of any conditions caused by injuries. We've already
had one casualty (Rick Manning out for a couple of games). Doing this will
keep a steady flow of action.

Schedule of Upcoming Games:

Boston at Milwaukee - Boyd (4-8) vs. Sutton (8-13)
Montreal at San Francisco - Lea (16-11) vs. Breining (11-12)
Pittsburgh at St. Louis - MCWILLIAMS (15-8) vs. Stuper (12-11)
New York at Los Angeles - Torrez (10-17) vs. Welch (15-12)
Baltimore at Cincinnati - MCGREGOR (18-7) vs. PRICE (10-6)
