I am gratified to see a surge of interest in diplomacy. Two months ago a plea went out for a new moderator for a game which had been "orphaned". I adopted the game and several seasons have passed. With the permission of the players, I will post the results without comments. I will make each turn a separate message so you can try to second guess the players. The point of adoption is summer, 1906 and the map is as follows: AUSTRIA: Owns: Vie, Bud, Tri, Mun, Ven, Ser, Gre, Bul Units: A Tus, A Tyl, A Sil, A Vie, A Tri, A Ser, A Gre, F Bul(sc) ENGLAND: Owns: Lon, Edi, Liv, Swe, Nwy, Den, Ber, Kie, Hol, Bel Units: F Pru, F Kie, A Mun, A Ruh, A Par, A Bel, F Nth, F Eng, F Iri, F NAt FRANCE: Owns: Par, Bre, Mar, Spa, Por Units: A Pic, A Gas, F Bre, F Mid, F Wes ITALY: Owns: Rom, Nap, Tun Units: F Ven, A Rom, F Apu RUSSIA: Owns: Mos, StP, War, Sev, Rum Units: A War, A Gal, A Bud, A Rum, F Bla TURKEY: Owns: Con, Ank, Smy Units: F Ion, F Aeg, F Con I guess accepted usage requires me to cast aside modesty and call this the "Crawford Game". Subsequent messages will have that plus the season as their subject line and builds will be included with the fall results. Stay tuned, kibitzers. "It's true, your honor. This node has no disk." _____________________________________________________ Matt University crawford@anl-mcs.arpa Crawford of Chicago ihnp4!oddjob!matt
