Pretty strange happenings in the Aegean Sea area, thanks to Turkey's temporary civil disorder. It's too bad for Turkey that the rules couldn't have been bent a little in order to allow a unit to be raised before Spring '02. It seems Turkey's only hope now is to put its life in Italy's hands. In fact, this would be extremely good for Italy, as together they can threaten to wipe out Austria's only fleet: (T)A Gre-Bul (to cut possible support into Con) F Ank-Con (to prevent AH fleet move) A Arm-Smy (ditto) (I)F WMd-Gre F Ion S F WMd-Gre Austria's only hope here is therefore to support its Aegean fleet's moving into Greece, forcing the Turkish army out. In this case there's no hope for an attack on Asia Minor to succeed, that is unless Italy doesn't want to defend Turkey in exchange. Meanwhile, the situation in the Trieste area ensures that that province will not be vacant after Fall'02, so AH will be unable to build another fleet. Even though Munich may be lost, Italy looks to be in a very good position right now. --Jamie. p.s. sorry if my analysis is wrong, I'm not too experienced a player
