*** ARPANET-DIPLOMACY NEWSLETTER ** Next move: SPRING 1901 *** (posted on net.games.pbm and sent to the players via e-mail) Gamesmaster: Charles Squires squires@nyu-csd2.ARPA My machine runs 4.2BSD UNIX, so feel free to "talk". Player's Name Country ARPANET address (corrected) ============= ======= ======================================= Terry Fadoc France fadoc@brl-tgr.ARPA Jeff Hanes Germany jeffh@brl-vgr.ARPA Lewis Jansen England lrj@lasspvax.ARPA Kevin Knight Russia knight@harvard.ARPA JP Massar Aus/Hun massar@think.ARPA Daryll Strauss Turkey strauss@cmu-cs-gandalf.ARPA Tom Tedrick Italy tedrick@ucbernie.ARPA Announcements: ======================================================== Note the change in the list of players. Countries have been assigned and the game is now beginning. No countries are at war, and no troops have invaded any other country. Riots have broken out throughout Portugal, Spain, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Tunis, Serbia, Greece, Bulgaria, Rumania, Albania, and North Africa. Switzerland remains quiet. There are no time limits on diplomacy, nor are there media limits. One warning-- I don't want to see any grossly unfair collusion between the two players at brl. Spring 1901 orders are due by Tues., 10/8 at 7pm eastern time (7/6/5/4); we'll see if we should pick the pace up or slow it down as we go along, but this deadline will hold for Spring 1901. Any country from which orders are not received by this time will be considered to be in a state of civil disobedience. This season is, of course, particularly brief since there's not much that you would do out of the ordinary in the Spring of 1901. Ooops! The deadline date is Tuesday, 10/15, not 10/8. Sorry 'bout that. -Charlie
