Mail all orders to me. Also mail any press releases to me. I will answer and/or relay confidential messages and/or questions. Again, please send me FINAL orders only. I reserve the right to edit lengthy press releases. Sorry. I will accept any unambiguous abbreviation scheme. For instance, LIV could normally be uniquely determined in context to mean only one of Liverpool and Livonia. Be careful with those NOR's. According to the rules, ALL ambiguous orders will be executed as simple HOLD's. News from around the world: =========================================== (Unless noted otherwise, all remarks are those of the Swiss gov't) GENEVA, Spring 1901- Internationally, troops of all seven powers have mobilized, invading many non-aligned nations. Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Rumania, Portugal, Greece, and Tunis have denounced the invasions of the other four non-aligned supply centers. Among the international powers, no wars have been formally declared, although two major skirmishes have occurred. In the Black Sea, Russian and Turkish fleets briefly collided in military exercises. Both have returned to bases in Sevastapol and Ankara. The retreat to Ankara has upset some internal Turkish army movements. German troops unsuccessfully attempted an invasion into French Burgundy without declaration of war. While the invasion was repelled by the Parisian garrison, France has other worries. Italian troops have moved to the French border. In a similar move, an English fleet on exercise in the English Channel sits off the coast of Brest and Picardy, as well as Belgium. The Italian move may be counteracted by the presence of the Austrian army along the border with Venice, so the unexplained English move is perceived as more serious. The Mediterranean is considered volatile, but no major conflicts have been reported. In Eastern Europe, calm is reported along inland borders, as troop movements have been diverted away to Scandanavia, the non-aligned Balkan regions, and the the highly tense regions of Western Europe. There has been a news blackout in most of the national capitals, however, a newly installed Russian government has released a series of lengthy official statements. The Russian government announced its support for the recent coup the took place in Austria-Hungary in 1900. It claims to have executed the former leader of that country. No body has washed up in Syria yet. This new Russian government also announced that is claims territorial rights to Sweden and Rumania. Russian troops have moved toward both of these countries. The St. Petersburg regime's Moscow office claims that this is in response to hostile invasions from those two nations.
