By the way, note the following change on the list of players: Mr. Cooper (Austria) prefers to be called "Clark" (his middle name) over "Charles" (his legal first name). Personally, I don't see anything wrong with the name "Charles" :-) -Charles Squires News from around the world: =========================================== Headlines from Geneva: FRENCH LAND ON SCOTISH SHORES, TAKE ENGLISH CHANNEL WHILE ENGLAND BRACES TO DEFEND ITSELF. RUSSIANS RETAKE WARSAW. GERMAN TROOP STRENGTH DECLINES. RUSSIANS LAND IN TURKEY. CONSTANTINOPLE UNDER SEIGE. FRENCH OCCUPY NAPLES. ITALY EXPECTED TO HELP FRENCH TAKE ROME RATHER THAN LET AUSTRIANS INVADE. FRANCE AND RUSSIA DOMINATE EUROPE IN TERMS OF TROOP STRENGTH WITH EIGHT UNITS EACH. ENGLAND AND AUSTRIA MAINTAIN POWER WHILE TURKEY, ITALY, AND GERMANY LOSE STRENGTH. ---- From France: Conditions of English surrender ---- Prime Minister, The Free French Government wishes to save the British Empire and her brave Sailors and Soldiers from further defeat and destruction by offering the following conditions for British surrender: 1. The British Government disbands all military forces. All military arms and ships will be turned over to the Free French forces. Local militia and police will beallowed to maintain small arms for the control and protection of British citizens. 2. The British Government with all high officials will resign and step down from all their positions. 3. The British Government will honor all French claims to territorial rights to occupied countries. 4. The British people will offer a formal letter of apology to the French nation for starting the Normandy Wars. 5. The British Government will hand over to the Free French forces, King Louise the XVI and all his former staff who fled to England after their overthrow. If England does not accepted the terms of surrender, the Free French forces will have no other choice but to eliminate the British military forces at a great cost of human life and British deaths. General P.A. LaFayette ---- From England: A response to French conditions of English surrender ---- phthphthphthphthp! ----- From France: Additional news ---- The Great French Navy in a bold tactical move, landed the 1st Parisian Infantry Garrison with the supporting 2nd Brest Cavalry Regiment and the famed 13th "Red Dragons" Artillery Regiment on the northern coast of England. The Free French forces landed at daybreak at several beachheads and coastal locations, unopposed by any British military forces. The local militia was totally surprised and quickily surrender without any fight to the superior Free French forces. With coordinated support from the off-shore Normandy fleet, the 1st Parisian Infantry Garrison expects to meet with other Free French forces in London in the fall of 1905. The only known British forces near the area is the British naval force in Wales which is currently moving to Liverpool in an attempt to stop the invading French forces. Combined French naval and land forces expect to quickly defeat the British naval force and continue its march toward London. The 1st Parisian Infantry Garrison finally has its revenge from the surprise Fall 1901 British Invasion of Brest. The Free French Government has directed all French military forces occupying England to obey the French Standards of Military Conduct and not inflict any type of punishment or retaliation against the innocent British people of the occupied Clyde regions. The Free French forces, unlike the British sailors who attacked, raped and murdered innocent French women and children during the Fall 1901 invasion, will act in a manner of a civilized, not barbarian nation. All British citizens will be treated in a fair and humane nature and will be afforded all the rights and privileges of the Free French democratic society and its citizens. The Marseilles French fleet, at the request of the provincial government of Naples, has landed on the Naples coast to restore law and order to the civil unrest caused by the collapse of the Italian government. France, in response to the growing civil unrest in the Mediterranean Sea area, has built a second fleet, the Monaco French fleet. The Monaco fleet will join the Marseilles fleet in guarding the interests of the Free French government in the Mediterranean region. General P.A. LaFayette, in a peace offering to save the doomed English fleet, has offered terms of surrender to the British government. The Prime Minister of Great Britian has not yet replied to the Free French governments terms and demands. Well placed government sources expected England to refuse the offer of surrender, even through England future is doomed. ----- From Russia: News on the repatriation of Warsaw ---- MOSCOW, 2 Dec 1904. RUSSIANS FINALLY RETAKE WARSAW! Millions of Poles cheered on the victorious Russian armies as Warsaw returned to Russian control. The Czar spoke to the crowds, assuring them that the German menace would be punished severely. In addition, he praised the English, supporting their stand against German oppression, and he scorned the Turks, his enemies for the last three years. RUSSIA to GERMANY: Danke schoen, yourself. Take a hike. ---- End of press releases ---- Current Positions: ==================================================== A/H Eng Fra Ger Ita Rus Tur --- --- --- --- --- --- --- A-Tri A-Swe A-Cly A-Mun F-Apu A-Mos A-Con A-Tyr F-Liv A-Bel A-Sil A-War F-Smy A-Vie F-Nth A-Spa F-Hel A-Sev A-Gre F-Lon F-Eng F-Bal A-Ank F-Alb F-NAO F-Hol A-StP F-Ion F-MAO F-Bul/E F-Nap F-Bla F-Mar F-Nwy Existing Wars Between the Powers: ===================================== BALKAN WAR - Declared Fall 1901 - Austria/Russia vs. Turkey.
