The Czar left last month for a vacation to the Crimea, leaving local commanders in charge of the Imperial Armies and Fleets. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- NEWS FROM PARIS - SPRING 1910 ----------------------------- FRANCE CONTROLS ITALY The 1st and 3rd Parisenne Free French Armies, with support from the Free French Navy; forced the withdrawal of Austria-Hungary forces from Italy. In a surprise lighting fast attack on Venice by the 3rd Parisenne forces, the Austrian-Hungary army was quickly overtaken. General I. Eatpasta, of the Austria-Hungary high command was captured by Free French forces while taking his afternoon nap. Several other high-ranking commanders and staff officers were captured by the Free French Navy as they attempted to flee Venice in several scows and gondolas. The A-H naval forces in Tuscany were captured before ship captains could open their sea values and sink their ships. The Calais Fleet is escorting the captured Austrian-Hungary ships to the Marseilles shipyards for overhauling and recommissioning in the French navy. Superior Free French naval forces continue to dominate the Mediterranean Sea and will eliminate all foreign naval forces by the end of 1911. General P.A. LaFayette has offered terms of surrender and peace to Emperor Franz Josef to include the return of all captured A-H army and naval prisoners. However, it is expect the the Emperor will turn the generous French offer down and cause the war to continue. Several A-H army companies from Venice escaped to protection of the mountains in Tyrolia to regroup with other Austrian forces which had retreated from Genova. FRENCH FORCES CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS IN ROME The 1st Parisenne Free French Army took a liberty break from the war and celebrated Christmas in Rome. The Italian people warmly opened their homes and hearts to the soldiers. Italy celebrated the New Year as being freed from Austrian-Hungary control. General P.A. LaFayette and his staff made arrangements with the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church to temporary take control of the governing of Italy until free elections could be held. France promised to provide protection and economic aid to the war-torn country of Italy. Several French museums and art groups have promised to provide staff and funding to assist Italy in repair and restoring several historic works of art damaged by Austrian forces. French engineers were surveying the damage to the Leaning Tower of Pisa in hopes to restoring the tower which had collasped due to the Austrian-Hungarian artillery shellings in the recent battle near the city. FRENCH FORCES AT WAR WITH GERMANY - BELGIUM CAPTURED The 2nd Brodeaux Free French Army supported by the 4th Dijon Army captured Belgium and quelled uprisings by fascist terrorists. At the same time, the Brest Free French fleet held off attacks by German fleets in their attempt to gain access to the North Sea. The Brest fleet suffered little damaged and damged several German Battleships and Heavy Cruisers. French naval destroyers sunk seven German submarines from a German wolfpack attempting to break into the English Channel and attack French ports. French forces captured secret German documents describing secret plans by Germany and Austria-Hungary to pressure Russia into forming a secret treaty and jointly attack France. These documents which were released to the free press and UPI, confirmed the French governments allegations of a plot by Germany and Austria-Hungary to spread terrorism among the free nations of the world. General Louise H. L'High moved the 7th Tours Free French Army back to St. Petersburg from Finland in preparation of a secret attack by Russia to regain its northern port city and gain access into the Baltic Sea. From BERLIN: The French government must still think that the old German regime is still around! The French government graciously offered not to take Sweden and Holland in return for Germany supportting the French offensive into Austria and all German units to be removed from France! Oh what an offer! I am sure that the old German regime would have been quite happy to support another countries expansion without anything in return. This military dictatorship will do no such thing! Germany has now strengthened its seaboard position with a daring offensive on its own coast. And Germany's coast can not be considered the last frontier! Germany will continue to fight France's terror in the seas. And send its ships to the very depths that France thinks it controls! Germany will not relent until France's self-proclaimed domination is completely eliminated. General Von StrauB
