Once again the link is having troubles. Our autodialer reaches decvax ok but when the call completes, decvax sprays gibberish instead of putting out a proper login message. I have seen this happen in the past, often just before or just after a time when decvax wasn't answering the phone, but never persistently. It is difficult to say exactly where the problem lies, since with only one autodialer it's hard to tell whether something subtle is wrong at this end (we communicate with local systems just fine, but that isn't a definitive test). As for decvax calling us: after waiting out yet another request for a postponement, my latest mail from Armando requested a refresher on the details of what was wanted. The mail to him including copies of relevant letters is waiting in the spool directory here right now. I've just sent copies of it via hcr and watmath to try and get around the outage. I'm getting very tired of this, and have better things to do.

Several days ago someone told me that our calls to decvax were failing but decvax was still calling us, so mail was still getting through. However, I just watched two successful calls from us to decvax, so perhaps things are back in order there.
