Sites fed from utzoo won't get a lot of news tonight, as I'm tinkering with
our news system, and hence processing of incoming news is on hold. Nothing
is being lost, just delayed, and we expect to resume normal service and
clear the backlog tomorrow.

As people may have noticed, the news hiatus is lasting a bit longer than
expected. Sorry about that, it should clear up over the weekend. Also,
local sites that send us news may want to re-send anything sent to us on
Wed. or Thurs. (I know that's an awkward request, but please try) -- I
fear that a blunder on my part has resulted in some lost news. (The moral
of the story is, never let shortage of time and desire to restore service
push you into putting software into service without thorough testing...)

As you may have noticed by the time you read this, the news is flowing again from utzoo. (Boy, is it ever...) It is possible that we lost some news that reached us on Wed. or Thurs.; if you posted something terribly important then and don't see any replies soon, best repost. We've just about cleared the backlog of old news; the news system is only
about 24 hours behind now. It should clear completely within a day or so.
