I'm shortly going to be testing out 9600-baud dialup access
for lsuc, and expect to purchase 2 Racal-Vadic 9600VPs, if
they prove adequate for high-speed interactive use. They are
primarily to give me high-speed access from home, but I'm
interested in their other uses as well.
If anyone else, particularly our UUCP neighbours, is contemplating
these modems, please let me know. The review of them in comp.dcom.modems
claims they're no good with the standard UUCP 'g' protocol but work
well with the 'f' protocol.
