There has just been a major shakeup in the Toronto-area news feed topology.
The reason is that mnetor, for complex reasons involving internal politics,
has had to drop its local news feeds. We have hopes that it can keep its
long-haul feed from uunet and its feed to utzoo active, since that's one
of the two paths that brings news into Ontario and it would be awkward to
replace quickly, but that is not yet certain. Mail links should survive
for the moment, I believe.
(The reason I'm posting this, by the way, is that I've been organizing
the feed changes, at mnetor's request.)
Genat, yetti, and lsuc are now fed from utzoo; those subtrees are likely
to expand in the future. Mnetor's old leaf feeds, radha, spectrix, and
syntron, will be fed from uthub, tmsoft, and geac respectively. And as
a side effect of all this, hcr, now fed by utzoo, will be fed from lsuc.
