Has anyone in the San Francisco Bay Area ever run across Robert Mondavi Napa Gamay, (I think it was a 1980). had it at an AT&T conference in San Diego, Jan 1983 and have never been able to find it since. At this point I'm not even sure if I should have been impressed, but would like to find some to check it out. Thanks in Advance Beth Sumner Silverman Associates Berkeley, CA

Many Robert Mondavi wines seem to have very limited distributions. I went tasting at their winery once (living in the Bay Area has some significant advantages *heh-heh*) and tried a wine called 'Muscato D'oro'. It was a 4% alcohol sweet desert wine made from the muscatel grape. Being excessively impressed, I immediately went looking for it in the local wine shops. No luck. If it isn't a major wine, it seems to be hard to find. Of course, if I'm willing to drive a couple of hours, I'm sure I can pick up a few bottles.... And to think there are areas of the country that not only don't have local wineries, but spend a good part of the year covered in snow! -- From under the bar at Callahan's: Chuq Von Rospach {amd70,fortune,hplabs,menlo70}!nsc!chuqui (408) 733-2600 x242 Never give your heart to a stranger, unless you are sure that you are dead.
