Chateau Ste. Michelle
1983 Woodinville
Chenin Blanc
Alcohol 11.9% by Volume, Produced and Bottled by
Chateau Ste. Michelle, Woodinville, Washington
$6.06 Tasted January 1985
Exceptionally light and enjoyable. Bright, clear, clean, medium yellow.
There was ample fruit and good floral qualities in the aroma. The wine was
moderately thin, but with good depth for this type. Flavors were very well
balanced, with nice sugar and acid. The appropriate fruity flavor of a
Chenin Blanc was present; the wine was light, crisp, and slightly sweet. A
very good value for the money. If you are looking for a wine that you could
enjoy drinking all night, by itself or with dinner, try this one (just get
more than one bottle, you'll need it). It is quite light and flavorful.
High Recommendation

Glad to see my local vintner is getting such good reviews! We live about four miles from the Chateau Ste Michelle Winery here in Woodinville. A real treat, though somewhat more expensive, is to try the Ste Michelle champagne. But all of the Ste Michelle wines, including the Merlot and the Cabernet Sauvignon, exhibit the results of considerable care and skill. Hope you can all enjoy them, I know we do. -- TJ (with Amazing Grace) The Piper Boeing Computer Services Artificial Intelligence Center ...uw-beaver!ssc-vax!tjj
