Wine Stores:

Beltramos, 1540 El Camino Real, Menlo Park, CA (415)325-2806

A nice place. Good selection of wines of France, California, wines of
various nationalies, Champagnes. Annually offer Bordeaux futures.
Get their free credit-card size VINTAGE CHART. Mine list '79 Bordeaux
as 5/6 on scale of 0-7, 7 being great. Also offer
periodic wine tastings(eg. White Burgundies). Check their back room
for DRC, Le Montrachet, and some older Bordeaux and Burgundy.

Dreager's Supermarket, Menlo Park

A small but good selection of Bordeaux, Burgundy, and California
wine. They have some DRC(Domaine de Romanee Conti), which is hard to
fine any where, much less a supermarket!

London Wine Co., Boston and Brookline Mass.

Happened to visit Boston and found this to be a good store. We
	bought a case of 1980 Figeac for 8.95 a bottle in 1983.

Vinotech(?), Bordeaux France

A bit of a ways to travel for a bottle, but worth it. A vary good
selection of Bordeaux. You know, its very hard to fine a good wine
shop in France! This and one in Beune were the only good ones I
	know of.

Connoisseur Wine Import, somewhere on Brannon in San Francisco.

This is a very good place to go. It is sort of down a flight
of steps, so it is nice and cool. Nice selection of older
Bordeaux, newer Bordeaux, Burgundy, some Italian, German,
Chablis, Port, etc. They also have lockers to cellar wine. They
have a mailing list, and offer periodic sales(eg. 20% off
	all White Burgundy).

Liquor Barn, various S.F. Bay area cities, eg. Lawrence & El Camino

Good California selection, some French, Italian, German, etc.

There is some place in Oakland that also has a mailing list, but I
forget what its name is.

KIR:

Put one cube of sugar in the bottom of a champagne goblet. Drip
some Angostura bitter on it, about 4 drops. Add champagne(but
not anything good like Louis Rodeger Crystal, that would be a waste!)

Also try cassis(currant liquor) and champagne.

One of the above is called Kir Royale, Anybody know which?

In vino veritas!
