[net.wines] Summary of champagne recommendations

gordon@cae780.UUCP (Brian Gordon) (08/19/85)

A month or so ago, I posted a request for advice. Specifically, I asked
about suggestions for a champagne to accompany a pizza and peanuts pigout.
The number of responses - especially from a quiet group like this one - was
gratifying. A summary follows. I have deleted the negative recommendations,
other text (although most of it was both interesting and useful), and tried
to break lists into three parts:
	a) French, if money is no object - or only recommendation
	b) USA, if money is no object - or definite second choice
	c) Worth considering on a budget
Remember that, in most cases, these are suggested for that specific context -
only a few said that these were there absolute choices for any circumstances.
Additional recommendations are still welcome. The jury is still out, but can
you imagine a party with ALL of them ....
