[net.wines] Query: New German Wines

REPLACE THIS LINE WITH A USED CORK

Anybody out there in net.oneology land have any idea when the 83 Reislings
will be widely available, their probable costs, and whether they could still
be found in stores c. 1990? (You could still get '76 two years ago for little
more than the far inferior subsequent years, and not only was 83 a good year,
it was an enormous harvest.)

By the way, I have found that in good years, often the best buy in German wines
is from a little known vinyard in a good area, one which seldom produces
Auslesen or Spatelesen. This way you get wine which is almost as good as
that produced by the big names in a normal year, and for a much smaller price.

(P.S., I have already tried the Bernskastler Graben and the Gracher Himmelreich
(I think those were the ones) which were quite good, but still young. Has anyone
had the 83 or 82 Peirsporer Goldtropfen Auslese, their 75 and 76 wines are/were
among my favorites.)

Thank you in advance, and oneologically yours,
