I'll be traveling to San Francisco near the end of August and will have 1 day
to tour wine country. Does anyone know of "must see" or "don't bother" tours.
Also, any recommendations about eating establishments would be appreciated.

			Thanks ahead,
			Mike Blake

Must see:

	Domaine Chandon
	Robert Mondavi

Must eat at:

	Domaine Chandon

Expect to spend both time and money. Two of us dropped $85 for lunch
and felt we had gotten a bargain. Trust me.

Must sees:

          Domaine Chandon
	  Beringer
Robert Mondavi (not as wonderful as the other two, but still nice)

Good eating places:

      A. Expensive:
		Domaine Chandon
Miramonte (my personal favorite!!!!!!!! truly excellent)

      B. Inexpensive: (also not very formal)
		Bosco's
		Guigni's Deli

By the way, this is expert's advice: I LIVE in the wine country.

If you want to see a modern, hi-tech, designed from the
ground-up, excellent winery, this is the place for you.
The tour is definitely worth the trip.

Low tech informal friendly tours may be had at Sebastiani.

For a wonderful view of the north end of Napa Valley - Sterling
You pay a modest fee to take a tram up to the winery.
