It is all very tentative still. Yes, if we move, there will be another huge party. But, what I want to talk about is -- the large unfinished basement. If we buy this house, we will finish it. We have already decided that we would keep our eagles and other noisy computer equipment there, soundproofed from the rest of the house. And I got to thinking. I live in San Francisco. That means that the temperature, year round, is about 68 degrees. If we are going to go to the effort of finishing the basement -- what with putting in walls and a floor and things, well, I wonder how much it would cost to put in a wine cellar? And a place for me to store beer that isn't quite beer yet? I don't know. One of the nice things about thinking about buying a house is all teh fantasies you can have about it. Right now I can't work up a very good one, since I don't know anything about what makes a good wine cellar. (A good ROOT cellar -- oh, never mind...:-) Are there any books that you could reccommend? -- Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
