I don't have factual proof, but I strongly doubt that. I read an article
in the local paper a few months back about the guy who played Spanky. His name
is Gordon somethingorother and he lives here in Boulder. I think if he had
murdered his mother they would have mentioned that in the article, and if had
happened since the article it would have been well-publicized around here.
Therefore I'd say that is a rumor with no basis in fact.
