The following is news from the Fall Las Vegas Decus Meeting, held
     October 23, 1983:

     1) Microvax will be available in March of 1984 at a cost of 13k
dollars. This configuration will be 1M of mem (max of 4 meg),
10M winchester, and	VMS (or Unix) all bundled in the
micro-pdp11 box. DEC claims that initial bench-test show that
this version runs at 30% of a vax 11/780 running VMS (w/wo
	FPA?).

     2) Vax 11/780 will go out of production in November 1984. (Get
	yours before they run out).

     3) Dec is stopping support of software for DEC-10's and DEC-20's.
(Maybe you folks with 10's & 20's better go get yourself a 780
	before they're all gone.)

     4) VMS release 4.0 will no longer come with rsx11 compatibility
junk bundled in. (who cares but someone out there might!)

     5) VMS release 4.0 (a mere 11 months off schedule now) will not
be released until May of 1984.

     6) DEC hinted at a new bus for the new year. Someone said they
are going for a single bus across all their new machines.
Let's just call it the ONLY bus right now (maybe it will catch
	on!!)

     7) I heard about lots of new VMS enhancements and if anyone out
	there cares let us know.

That's all the goodies	I have for now. To the best of my
knowledge (rumor sense) it's all true.
