no! no! no! It *has* to be pronounced "gig - a - byte" so that
it's consistant with the name for a certain high-frequency
sine wave, the
		  gig - a - wig - gle

Guy is pronounced "Ghee" not "Ghiye".  Giga-'s pronunciation can be
looked up in the dictionary for those who really care.
