During a friend of mine's last discussion with Peter Gabriel in London in September, he was using the same band, and was to begin mixing the album in December. The recording sessions were complete by then, except for overdubs. He visited a trible drummer in Brazil, and used his Sony F1 digital recorder to capture tribal srum sounds. He had to journey several days into the jungle to catch up with one of the people. One drummer is apparently the 'dean' of tribal drummers - He's in his sixties and is reported to have more than 30 children.
