Coca-Cola plans to bring back its old formula, to be marketed as "Coca-Cola Classic," within the next few weeks. Meanwhile, shipments of new Coke were up 8 percent in May over those a year ago, compared to only a 4 percent growth rate for old Coke. Myself, I never touch the stuff. -- Jan Wolitzky, AT&T Bell Labs, Murray Hill, NJ; 201 582-2998; alice!wolit (Affiliation given for identification purposes only)

This is not a rumor. I just called 800-GET-COKE and confirmed it.

The reborn old Coke is to be called Coca Cola Classic according to my morning paper-- Anyone want to bet on the price of Classic Coke relative to the price of old Coke? (Don't classics cost more than contemporaries?) Methinks we been had!
