I just read in the paper (Cleveland Plain Dealer) this morning that old coke is returning, under the name Coca-Cola Classic. Both old and new coke will be marketed. Coca-Cola's stock rose $23.7 a share and PepsiCo's fell $.75 after the announcement. Apparently, all those calls to the 800 number complaining about the new Coke actually paid off. They said they received 1500 calls about the new formula a day, and many of them were complaints that the old Coke should return. Later today, in Atlanta, representatives of the Coca-Cola Co. will give more details about its plans. -- John Diamant Usenet: ...decvax!cwruecmp!diamant Case Western Reserve University CSNet: diamant@Case Cleveland, Ohio ARPA: diamant%Case@CSNet-Relay

> I just read in the paper (Cleveland Plain Dealer) this morning that old > coke is returning, under the name Coca-Cola Classic..... I saw a bit on the TV show 20/20 last night where some the agitators for bringing back the old coke were given an informal taste test and tried to identify old coke, new coke, and pepsi. Most of the leaders of the movement mistakenly identified pepsi as old coke.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Round the decay of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare ~ ~ The lone and level sands stretch far away................. ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jay Wooten Los Alamos National Lab ARPA:jkw@lanl.ARPA
