[net.rumor] Update on Molson and Moonies

jsf@rlgvax.UUCP (Steven Fritzinger) (01/06/86)

Thought you would like to know, just in case you started to get worried
about tossing back a couple of Goldens after work, that I have been
insured by several Canadians that there is no connection between the
Molson brewery and the Unification Church.

It's good to hear that Molsol and the Moonies have nothing in common, but
insurance? Who is the beneficiary of the policy? What are its terms?
What was the premium? Why do you need more than one policy? How can
I collect if it turns out that there *is* a connection? :-)

I have it on good authority that those several Canadians have
laid off the risk on those insurance policies to Lloyd's of London.

Probably Lloyd's Of London, ever see the NBC Special Report on this
organization? They claim to insure (just about) anything, for the right
premium (of course).

No need ... everyone knows that Golden isn't a premium brew.

Okay, so after tossing back a few Goldens I made ONE SMALL typo. I'm sorry,
now leave me alone or I will post _The_Elements_of_Style_ twice a week under
subjects like "IBM to announce PDP-11 compatibililty" and "DEC goes belly up"
until you're all so sick of perfect grammar that my little mistake will be
a welcome relief.

Need I say it? :-)

Golden isn't premium, but it's smooth. Smooth as Golden. Golsen mollen?
(aah, the things one misses away from one's native land...)
