The Cubs are really sizzzzling, lets hope they continue to do so. But remember, they are playing the worst team in baseball, Mets. Anyone can look good against them. I hope the CUBS are making a real move towards contention with this winning streak, but I have been disappointed so many times in the past that I won't get my hopes up too hiigh. How about somebody putting a copy of what Lee Elia said, word for word, about the CUB fan situation. I heard a tape of this tirade played by Larry Lujack but could not make out about half the words due t a technical problem causing intermitent beeps during Elias speech.

So what if the Mets are the worst team. The Cubs are winning!!!! They also nailed the Pirates 4 in a row, passing them in the standings. After their 2-1 win yesterday, scoring 2 in the 9th, they moved into 3rd! (Phil. won last night, so their back in 4th by 1/2 game) There`s a lot of excitement going on on the North Side of Chicago, and it`s great. St. Louis is coming in this weekend, which will give the Cubs a great chance to show their stuff and prove they can beat the worst AND the best in the N.L. East. Should be a great series. In regards to the Elia tirade, a local FM D.J. has been playing the incident quite a bit, according to the newspapers. Cub management has decided that they`ve gone overboard, and is not allowing the station`s reporters up in the pressbox. I think this guy is showing a lot of poor taste to continually play Elia`s outburst. I mean, enough is enough. It`s kinda sad to think that people get a kick from hearing somebody swear his head off. Besides, I`m pretty sure this guy got brought in from somewhere else, so he probably doesn`t know what it means to be a CUB fan. LET`S PLAY 2 TODAY!! Tom O`Connor ihuxw!tommyo
