Here's another ruling dandy:

How can a player strike out without the pitcher ever throwing a pitch?

Don't delay in answering this one...

This should be easy:

How can a player take four strikes at an at-bat (REAL strikes - I'm
not counting extra foul balls) and still get a hit on that at-bat?

Get skipped in the batting order.....

If the batter has two strikes when a baserunner is picked off or out
stealing, he will be the first batter up next inning with a "clean"
count. Hence he can get two more strikes before hitting.

No way! If you get 2 strikes, then someone gets picked off,
you don`t get credit for an at-bat in that inning. It`s
like you never batted! When you come up next inning, get
2 strikes, then a hit, you had 2 strikes in that at-bat.
I`m being picky with the wording of the question, and
contend that you can`t have 4 strikes in one at-bat AND
then get a hit in that at-bat. When it was your TURN to
bat, okay.
