Here's another ruling dandy: How can a player strike out without the pitcher ever throwing a pitch? Don't delay in answering this one...

This should be easy: How can a player take four strikes at an at-bat (REAL strikes - I'm not counting extra foul balls) and still get a hit on that at-bat? Dave Sherman Toronto

If the batter has two strikes when a baserunner is picked off or out stealing, he will be the first batter up next inning with a "clean" count. Hence he can get two more strikes before hitting. wa

No way! If you get 2 strikes, then someone gets picked off, you don`t get credit for an at-bat in that inning. It`s like you never batted! When you come up next inning, get 2 strikes, then a hit, you had 2 strikes in that at-bat. I`m being picky with the wording of the question, and contend that you can`t have 4 strikes in one at-bat AND then get a hit in that at-bat. When it was your TURN to bat, okay.
