I'll have to agree with Rich Barry on this one. I'll take the O's in 6. I also have to agree with his MVP pick unless Eddie Murray gets it. The MVP will not be won by a Landrum-type. Jim Hendricks

Baltimore will win the world series in a maximum of six games. All Baltimore losses will be at the hands of Steve Carlton. Eddie Murray will atone for his disastrous 1979 Series Performance by leading all players in slugging average. Either Mike Boddicker or Storm Davis will throw a shutout. Maddox will be mired in a horrible slump. Ken Glass

I sent in a prediction on 10/11 at approx. 6:30, but I forgot to sign it. Again: The Wheeze Kids in 7 games. MVP: Ol' reliable Mike Schmidt Two saves and a win for Al Holland. Mike Clifford (IW)

I'd say the Phillies in 5 games. -- Russ Sehnoutka AT&T Bell Laboratories -- Naperville, Ill. ihnp4!ihu1e!genesis

Phillies in 6. K. Glass, half your predictions are already wrong. The rest of you, the old guys are giving it their last shot and will pull it out. (By the way, this assumes that Carlton's back spasms will not prevent him from playing). A Disgruntled White Sox Fan (Wait 'til next year!) Scott Pector
