As a K.C. Royals fan (they are probably going to have a bad year) you
can have Aikens. Never have I seen a more worthless ballplayer. He
can't run, he can't field, and he strikes out a lot. The Royals dumped
    a real loser on Toronto.

Well, I'll be the first in New England to post it.

THIS IS THE YEAR FOR THE RED SOX !!!!

That's right. This is it. Can't you see it ? I can.

Look out everybody, here they come.

After spending about 25 years of my life waiting for the BoSox to make
it, I feel confident stating that this will be yet another year for
them to fade away in July and August when their emphemeral pitching
goes up in smoke one mo' time.

With all kidding aside, I think there will definately be a tough race
between Baltimore and Toronto for first place. Without a bias (!), I
think Toronto could make it if only their (our) relief pitching will
do the job. Last year , no one could deny that the Jays had the pennant
in their hands but was let down by the firemen.

OK! Blue Jays! Let's play ball!

Let's not forget our additions: Aikens, Clark, LAMP, Bell (sort of!) etc.

I don't deny that the Jays' relief pitchers let them down, but I don't
think they had the pennant in their hand. I think it was a case of a good
young team suprising people for longer than expected, but then they faded
due to lack of experience and less talent than some other teams. The Orioles
won the pennant by individually beating up on every other contender in the
East in late August and September, not by the Blue Jays' handing it to them.
I do think that Toronto will be tougher; it should be another good race this
year.

Go O's!

I have to remind you that the Jays were in first place until August(?)
in which they lost a number of important games in the 9th and 10th innings,
including games to thye O's.

BUT why are we arguing - we'll find out the truth in couple of months!!

"Wake up! It's a bran' new year!"

"Hmm? What year is it?"

"It's leap year -- the year we elect a president -- the year of
decision -- the year the Red Sox win the whole kaboodle."

"You says that ev'ry year."

"Right! Maybe I'm not smart but I'm loyal."
