AHHEMM! I just know if I say anything, the magic will stop. Well,

<Ya gotta belieeeeeeeve!>

I am doubly glad to hear that there are so many Mets fans these days,
and that the Mets are doing so well. I don't know today's scores, but
they won against LA 2-1, 2-1 Friday and Saturday.

I am an old Mets fan who misses greatly Channel 9, Shea Stadium, Ralph
Kiner, Bob Murphy, Lindsay Nelson (he doesn't do Mets games anymore). I
haven't seen a Mets game in over 5 years! Not that in the last 5 years
there was anything to watch, but here's to hoping there's something to
look at in the coming months.

Meet the Mets, meet the Mets,
Step right up and greet the Mets,
Bring your kiddies, bring your wife,
Guaranteed to have the time of your life
Because the Mets are really socking that ball
Knocking those home runs over the wall
East Side, West Side,
Everybody's coming down ...
To meet the M-E-T-S Mets
>From New York Town!!!!

As Tug McGraw said in 1973 -- ya gotta belieeeeeeeeeve!!

Now if only they'd bring back Rheingold Beer ...

Concerning Mets Magic:

You're going to have to contend with the Cubs if you plan on
winning this year. They have some of the best talent in baseball
today, the only thing I'm worried about is the loss of Ruthven
(sp?). Granted, they made a great deal to get Eckersly, but the
loss of Ruthven might really hurt them. I'm just glad the Braves
only have to play them 12 times.
