That`s an easy one. The 1906 Cubs, with Tinker, Evers, Chance, Brown, Pfeister, etc. were 116-36. That`s a winning percentage of .763!! Unfortunately, that was the year of the Hittless Wonders, ie. the Chicago White Sox. In that only World Series meeting of these cross-town rivals, the Pale Hose took the Series over the Cubs.
