Where's the broom? :-) Met pitchers Gooden, Darling, and Sisk have completely failed in tryng to contain the cub bats. Of course there are still two games to go in the series, but with the best of the mets staff out of the way, I am already looking for the broom. The mets will be swept away and left behind in the dust. I have to get my licks in now while I still can. :-) If the cubs fade again as so many have predicted, I will once again be in misery. Not to mention having to tolerate all the deriding comments that will be sure to come. But this year has the markings of a changing of the guard. Lessons have been learned from watching history. The cubs have the largest pitching staff on roster in the majors. Everyone gets plenty of rest between assignments. Even the regulars have been amply substituted for periodically with the strong bench. Everyone plays. Everyone is happy. Everyone is producing. The summer heat will not have any noticable effect on the cubs. If I were a mets fan, I would be real worried right about now. The cubs appear to be going strong with no sign of fading.
