RE: Cubs vs. Mets Guys Guys Guys! Do you think the padres are going to lay down and die after they win their division by seven or eight games and meanwhile the Cubs and Mets are battling back and forth and only one of them manages to squirm into the playoffs?

I was poking around on mit-eddie and found this hadn't been archived yet. > Come on Greg, as you well know when we were in class the > Mets had the big series with the Cubs and boom, they go > down the drain! Well they sure did. And now, it's the eve of the (possibly) final showdown between these two clubs. The future of the race depends on what the Mets do this weekend. > They played like my Giants!! Yeah, and for a while, they were playing even worse than your Giants. Season series: Mets 4, Giants 8. Giants won 8 one-run ballgames I think. > Something tells me it's going to be the Cubs vs Tigers. Well, I can't reallly see Minnesota in there, and as for San Diego, you have to admit the Mets handled them pretty well last weekend. Padres, you're in for a time if you play the Cubs (or Mets, for that matter). > The Yanks......HA! Wishful thinking on my part. -- Hug me till you drug me, honey!
