Come on, Perez is there for the whole season, Horner is back, Murphy is fine, they lost one reliever but got Sutter, all the other pitchers are fine. How could anybody predict a team which was in second place last year with an injured team to come in LAST place with the same team with the other player all healed ??? Anyway, enough of that. As for that prediction about Toronto coming in first, I agree for a few reasons. First of all, they have finished strongly the past two seasons and they actually gave Detroit a chase for a while. The other reason is a little piece of meaningless trivia. Now, in 1982, Milwaukee held on to first by beating Baltimore on the last day of the season. Yes, Baltimore finished second. 1983 - Who came in first ? Yes, Baltimore ! Now, who came in second ?? Yes, it was Detroit. Toronto finished in second last season, so maybe.... -- Mark Wutka Office of Computing Services Georgia Institute of Technology Atlanta, Ga. ...!{akgua,allegra,amd,hplabs,ihnp4,masscomp,ut-ngp}!gatech!gitpyr!wutka ...!{rlgvax,sb1,uf-cgrl,unmvax,ut-sally}!gatech!gitpyr!wutka The author of this message is purely fictitious.
