NBC ran a poll on the designated hitter this past Saturday (4/20). They used a couple of those 900 numbers (50 cents a call) to count up the people for and against the DH. The results were about 35,000 against the DH and 25,000 for the DH. This was probably biased a bit since the primary game on TV was the Phillies/Mets game. I am personally not for the DH. I like baseball just like it's played in the National League (you know the one, where they play real baseball!!!). Give me the senior circuit any time. If anyone would like to send me their comments about the designated hitter (by mail, no postings), I will collect them and post the results in two or three weeks. PLAY BALL!!! GO BRAVES!!!
