[net.sport.baseball] Artificial turf in the AL

jmh@ltuxa.UUCP (cecw 64lt503310-Jon Mcecw) (05/10/85)

In reference to the article that stated that there are 6 artificial turf
stadiums in the AL, am I missing something? :
   ART. TURF: KC,Minn,Seattle,Toronto
NAT. TURF: Mil, NY, Balt, Bos, Cleve, Cal, Oak, Tex, Chi, Det

I'm not as sure of the NL, but is this true? :
ART. TURF: Phil, StL, Hous, Cin, Pitt, Mont
NAT. TURF: Chi, NY, SF, SD, LA, Atl

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I posted the original count. You have the NL correct, but I may
be wrong in the AL. I thought Texas had A-turf and I also thought
that when Yankee Stadium was renovated, they put in A-turf. I'm
not that familiar with the AL stadiums.

Go Braves!! Hi Marsha!!

The stadium listings at the top are correct. There are only
four teams in the AL with artificail turf. Texas and Yankee Stadium
are both natural grass. Ruth and Gehrig would turn over in their
graves if Yankee Stadium were converted to artificial turf.

LET'S GO METS!!
