Here's another vote for no "carpets". David Rubin speaks of "radical" changes to the game (re: the DH), but I don't know of anything quite as radical as artificial turf. It affects hitting and fielding of all players. As far as the DH is concerned: I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not, but I'd love to see it stay the way it is (i.e. not used in the NL and used in the AL). It seems to keep some "star hitters" around a while, and I like keeping heroes around (like Hank Aaron for the Brewers). Yet, we still see the strategy of hitting pitchers in the NL, which is nice. If it HAS to be one way or the other, I guess I would ban it because I'm basically a traditionalist. I WOULD DEFINITELY ban the DH in the minor leagues. It may well have ruined Ron Kittle's career. How come I haven't heard any noise about the 7-game league series (another "radical" change). Yours with nothing cute to say after my name, Jon Hanrath ihnp4!ltuxa!jmh
