Well, I saw in the paper today that up to this point (Wed. May 8),
the Mets have allowed more runs than they have scored (they have
allowed about 95 and scored about 90). They have allowed more hits
than they have gotten (something like 200 to 180, and the Mets
team BA is about .225 vs. about .245 for their opponents). They have
also won 15 games and lost 8. Looks like last year is still going on,
except Sutcliffe finally lost a few.

really, I think it has to do with timely homeruns. Also they
win the close games [unbelievable record in one run games] and when they
lose they lose by alot.

I didn't know they allowed you to view the World Series at Shea
Stadium. Do they have a Big Screen where the scoreboard is? It
seems I heard the same kind of bantering last year. Alright, I
know this is a new year and it will be different than last. This
year, instead of losing in the Championship series, the CUBS will
WIN the WORLD SERIES. We'll even let New Yorkers help us celebrate!

I hope I'm wrong but... San Diego will play whoever comes out of
the dogfight in the AL East - my prediction, without prejudice,
Toronto; but I'll still be pulling for the YANKS! I hold no
	grudges for the two teams from the NL East mentioned above;
I just don't think they'll be there. Good luck Cubbies and Mets.

As all baseball fans know, the Cubs will somehow manage to
snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

LET'S GO METS!!!!!
