/* */ Tiger president Jim Campbell stated last night ( 5/30 ) that he will neither confirm or deny published reports that the bleachers will reopen on Sunday ( 6/2 ). In his words, it "might be any day...it might be several weeks". I heard a radio personality say this morning that "maybe he doesn't want to *grandstand* the issue" (groan). Updates as the story as it unfolds. Note: Kirk Gibson took an 85 mph. fastball in the mouth yesterday in their game against Oakland. He wanted to stay in the game, but he was bleeding so much that he had to be taken to the hospital, where he required 17 stitches. He plans on being back in the lineup tonight.
