Yesterday's sweet Blue Jay victory over the Tigers raised some questions about shutouts and no-hitters. 1) What is the longest (in innings) shutout game? 2) If a pitcher allows no hits (and no runs) in nine innings, but the game is still tied at the end of the ninth, does he get credited a 'no-hitter' even if he does not end the game? (Jimmy Key was 3 outs away from that yesterday -- this guy has the right stuff!). P.S. I read that the Blue Jays are last in road attendance this year. It's time the american media start covering the best team in baseball! Andre Vellino University of Toronto
